Description:
This course is intended as a brief introduction to topical approaches to the
modeling of coupled geophysical systems. In Spring , we will focus on two
topics:
(A third topical area may be added if time permits.) The course will consist of a mixture of lecture and laboratory (experiential computer) sessions. Some of the approaches to be considered include:
Students will be expected to develop a project in one of these general areas,
to conduct research on that topic, and to report (written and oral) on their
project by the end of the semester.
