Today's Atmospheric/Ocean Weather

Morning Evening

ATMOSPHERE ---Noreast winds of 18 knots or so have cancelled all boat outings today, and probably will tomorrow. It was overcast for most of the day, and temps hovered near 70. Not a great day, but it didn't rain....

Plots of today's weather data from the Field Station are shown below. Times are in GMT.

OCEAN -- SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY!!! Bottom temps at the nodes are increasing as the winds are downwelling favorable. This current surface weather should mix and downwell the entire coastal water column for the hardcore science to be done next week. We'll be starting with a clean slate.
